P.P.C. - Pay
Per Click - Google Adwords - Yahoo
Pay
Per Click allows you to put small
advertisements
at the side or top of the search sites, or sites with
content
containing the keywords you choose. You decide when the advertisement
appears by choosing the words
(keywords)
the searcher is
looking for. The good thing is
that you don´t pay for the fact that the ad is displayed but
only
if the searcher really clicks on it
and goes to your site. That´s why it is called PPC, Pay Per
Click. This is very effective as it only brings people searching for
what you decide (with the keywords) to your site.
The
more attractive your ad the more people click on it, the higher get
your CTR, Click Through
Rate.
This means the ratio of impressions (number of times displayed) divided
by the number of clicks on it. Eg. if your ad has been displayed 3000
times (impressions) and 60 people clicked on it to go to your
site, means a CTR of 2 %
There are several options on the internet to use Pay Per Click but the
most used are Google
Adwords and Yahoo´s
Overture.
The most important in PPC programs are the keywords. In both programs
you can bid on the words. In Yahoo it works simple and the highest
bidder gets the highest position for the ad to be displayed.
In Google there are more options and the bidding price is not the only
factor which decides the position of your ad but also the effectiveness
of your ad. The CTR plus the price you bid for each keyword decides the
position your ad appears on the site.
The ads and keywords are analyzed manually in Yahoo and therefore it
can take some days before your ad appears. In Google this is automated
and that´s why ads almost immediately appear on the net as
soon as you publish it.
This means with Google you can start promoting your own products and/or
affiliate programs immediately and start making money within 15 minutes
after release of the ad. However the set up of the campaigns, the
choice of the keywords, the specific subgroups and the high bid prices
can accumulate a big bill. For someone without experience the
program is complex
and the marketplace full of competitors.
It should be well
studied before to starting.
There are hundreds of thousands of keywords, combinations and
ad
versions. To prevent big losses and open the path to get good and big
profits from your campaigns it is absolutely advice able to read and
use
the guidelines of experienced marketers. A very small
investment
in one of these programs can save you thousands of dollars in
experimenting costs and put you immediately on the path of
profitability and wealth. Besides the time you lose by trying out
yourself, you can start
making money within 15 minutes using the right
techniques.

So if
you don´t use the techniques taught in these programs and
just

money quickly without any result. On the other hand with good
instructions you can avoid this and start making good money
on line almost immediately.
Google Adwords - The Basics
Before you open an account with Google you should get familiarized with
the basics of keywords. Every
market has its own
keywords and every sub market it´s specific
words, and every sub-sub
market it´s own and so on. The trick is to get
down to the most specific part of the market you want to aim at. The niche,
the part of the market which is not yet oversold but still has demand.
There are many good programs available that can help you sort out the
keywords. You start with one keyword and these programs will give you
hundreds or thousands of possible words equal or close or relative to
the one you entered. Now these keywords can be divided in groups.
Each group around a specific part within the group. For every group you
can write a different ad contain and aimed at this specific part of
the group. Many people won´t get into this hassle but by not
doing this they are getting low CTR´s and therefore pay more
for
the keywords and positions as the more effective and more targeted ones.
The searcher will definitely be
attracted more to click on an ad which is closer to the words he entered
as the ones not as close.
One can experiment with broad match, exact match and phrase, as well as
negative match.
One of the best programs for use and keyword analyzing is Keyword
Elite
After the study of the keywords the next thing is entering the keywords
in Adwords and define the bid price. This is a matter of trying out
without any danger as Adwords has the option to calculate and show
estimated traffic for every keyword before launching the campaign.
After refining the bid price, another crucial part starts: writing the
ads for each group. Google Adwords even offers the possibility for ´Split
testing´
meaning that you can write two versions of your ads for each group.
When displaying ads, Adwords will display switching the two all the
time so after a certain time you can have a look which one of the two is the best
and improving
this way the results
of your campaign.
All the time when the ads are running you can checkout the performance
by looking at the campaign Adwords will show the number of impressions
(displays) of the ads, the CTR etc. per keyword and per group so you
can exactly find out what is happening to improve the performance of
your campaigns.
Again to really learn exactly how to do it in detail we recommend to
read and use one of the programs Keyword
Elite
This will give you a head start and unbeatable advantage on your
market.
Most on line marketers are using these techniques and if you
don´t, you might lose the competition by forehand. They can
save
you a lot of time and money and make a quick start to big profits
on line and successful effective campaigns.
Google is completely fixed upon relevant
content and Google Adwords on relevant and effective ads
with a high CTR
are rewarded
with better portions and lower
prices for the keywords.
Thats why sometimes you will see that if you have a succesfull campaign
the real costs per click charged by Google is less than the price you
bid. Experienced marketers know
how to use this to get their prices
and cost as low as possible and in the meantime being
rewarded with higher
display positions!
THE HEADLINE and How To Convince
the Client to Click the ad.
The most important part of your ad is the
headline!
Experiment and test until you get the most clicks. The content of the
ad should have the most appealing benefit in the first line
and
the need for action in the second line. Again the effectiveness of your
ad means a higher CTR which means a higher position, more visitors and
a lower price to pay for your Google ads. Therefore it is extremely
important to learn and test your ad writing.
